Last Call for Articles & Conference News

I love it when an issue comes together! God gets the glory because he does all the hard work gathering what's needed. I just have to sort it out. We have some great articles for the topic Lord of All.

I want to give a heads up to anyone still thinking about sending in articles for our next issue. I plan to put it together this weekend. Please see the Write for Us page to get details on how to go about that.

As a sneak peek into what's already on hand... Sheila Shepard is going to help us contemplate The Meaning of Life. Annette Irby, who I have to thank sooo much for being more than patient then I ever deserve, will have two articles. The Invitation and Is Holiness about Sacrifice or Pleasure? are sure to get you thinking. And the last tidbit I'll share is that Ingrid Shelton will offer us a beautiful picture of how God answers prayers for a mate in the most unusual manner. I love the story! Stay tuned and don't touch that dial! New issue to follow shortly...

I also want to mention, again, The Greater Philadelphia Christian Writer's Conference to be held August 10-12, 2006. If you plan on writing for the Lord, I can not stress enough how important it is to attend a conference to learn how to be the best God intended you to be. Liz and I have learned so much at the two conferences we've attended. July 15 is next price discount cut off day, so be sure to pop over today if you have any interest at all in attending.

Our plans have changed. Not only will I be at the conference, but Liz will be as well. Liz will be circulating to answer questions and enjoy your pleasant company. I'll be on the Magazine Editor's Panel Friday and Saturday mornings. I'll also be on the Thursday afternoon Writer's Helps Panel answering questions about creating a personal web presence as a writer. And I'll be taking 15 minute appointments with authors to consider their work for submission, editorial suggestions or simply encouragement. I bought my ticket Tuesday, so I hope to meet some of you there!

Please keep us in prayer as both Liz and I are preparing book proposals. She's got one, I've got one and we might be cooking up one together. Stay tuned for that too... In the mean, may God meet you in the most pleasantly surprising way!
